Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before the project begins.

Review common questions about services, preparation, revisions, payment, and delivery. If your situation is different, ask before booking rather than guessing.

01

Services and fit

What is included in Professional Mixing?+

A complete creative and technical mix for one song, session organization and cleanup, translation checks, final quality control, three revision rounds, a dynamic 24-bit WAV, a 320 kbps MP3, and a complimentary loud reference. The standard price is $250 per song and covers up to 60 active audio tracks.

What genres does NAVVHOUSE work with?+

NAVVHOUSE is centered on professional mixing for hip-hop and R&B. Fit is based on the song, preparation, timeline, creative needs, and whether NAVVHOUSE can genuinely provide value.

Do I need to know exactly what service I need?+

No. Start with the song, current rough mix, timeline, and goal. NAVVHOUSE will recommend the clearest path without adding services the record does not need.

Does mixing include mastering?+

Every Professional Mix includes a complimentary loud reference. Dedicated Mastering is separate final-release finishing: $50 with the mix or $75 standalone.

02

Preparation and scope

What files should I send?+

Send consolidated WAV or AIFF files from the same timestamp, preferably at 24-bit. Include the rough mix, BPM, original sample rate, one to three references, creative priorities, and requested alternates. Dry vocals are required; include wet versions when the effect is important.

Can you tune or edit my vocals?+

Light corrective tuning and minor timing correction are included when reasonably required. Detailed tuning, alignment, comping, restoration, arrangement changes, reconstruction, and major repair are custom-quote work.

Can I send new files after mixing begins?+

New recordings, replacement stems, arrangement changes, or major direction changes may affect scope, fee, and delivery. NAVVHOUSE will explain the impact before performing new-scope work.

Can you create alternate versions or stems?+

Yes. Instrumental, acapella, clean, performance, bundled alternates, and mix stems are available. Exact contents are confirmed before export.

03

Timing and revisions

How long does a mix take?+

The first mix takes 5–7 business days from the confirmed start date. A typical revision round takes 2–3 business days after complete, consolidated feedback is received.

Is rush delivery available?+

After file and schedule review: three business days adds 35%, two business days adds 50%, and next business day adds 100%. Weekends and holidays are excluded unless agreed in writing.

How many revisions are included?+

Professional Mixing includes three revision rounds. One round is one consolidated list against the current version. Additional rounds are $50 each. Engineer errors and missed approved notes do not consume a round.

How should I submit feedback?+

Choose one approver, use timestamps when possible, and submit one consolidated list within seven calendar days. Conflicting collaborator feedback pauses the revision until consolidated.

04

Payment, scheduling, and delivery

How do payments work?+

NAVVHOUSE invoices through Wave Starter. Clients may pay by ACH or credit/debit card. Single songs require full payment before scheduling; multi-song projects require a 50% booking payment and written schedule.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?+

Cancellation at least three business days before the start date receives a refund excluding nonrecoverable processing fees. Later cancellation carries a $50 fee. One timely reschedule is free; a late or additional reschedule costs $50. Payment is non-refundable once work begins.

What happens if I stop responding?+

A project becomes inactive after 30 days. Reactivation costs $50, depends on availability, and receives a new schedule.

What happens after I approve the mix?+

Approval identifies the final version and authorizes exports. Final files follow quality control and payment of any remaining balance. Creative changes after approval are reopening or new scope; technical defects remain supported.

How long are my files kept?+

The complete package is retained for at least 90 days after delivery. Long-term storage is not guaranteed, so independently back up your final files.

How should I credit the mix?+

Recommended credit: “Mixed by Markus Caban at NAVVHOUSE.”
